Kompany missing for City

Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany was missing with a knee injury as the Blues attempted to consolidate their place at the top of the Premier League by beating Fulham at the Etihad Stadium.

It meant Stefan Savic returned for the Blues, who had new-boy David Pizarro on the bench.

Goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer returned for Fulham, who have an impressive recent away record against City, losing on just one of their past eight visits.
