Sammon available for Wigan

Wigan will have striker Conor Sammon available for tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League trip to Stoke after his red card was rescinded by the Football Association.

The 25-year-old was sent off by referee Phil Dowd during the first half of Monday’s 5-0 defeat at Manchester United for a clash with Michael Carrick and would have had to serve a three-match ban had the decision not been overturned yesterday.
