Players have been paid for November, claim Hearts
Hearts today announced their players had received their November salaries as PFA Scotland prepared to submit an official complaint over the matter to the Scottish Premier League.
Representatives from the players’ union today met with the first-team squad and urged them to sign a letter of permission allowing PFA Scotland to represent them in their battle to recover their owed salaries.
Hearts players’ wages are due on the 16th of each month, but their October salary was received on November 4.
With December’s pay due tomorrow, Hearts today declared the November salary has now been paid – 29 days overdue.
A statement on the club’s official website, www.heartsfc.co.uk, read: “Hearts today finalised all remaining November salary payments to players and the club board also issued a statement to supporters to remain resolute and not to be swayed by the more sensationalist parties using the club’s current challenges to promote themselves.”
There followed a 700-word statement from director Sergejus Fedotovas, which attacked critics of the current regime under owner Vladimir Romanov.
