McLeish hoping Republic joy benefits Villa

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is banking on the Republic of Ireland feelgood factor rubbing off on his team via Shay Given and Richard Dunne – starting with Monday’s Barclays Premier League clash at Tottenham.

Goalkeeper Given and defender Dunne played a major part in helping Ireland reach the Euro 2012 finals by overcoming Estonia in the two-legged play-off.
