Police examining Terry race abuse claim

Allegations that Chelsea captain John Terry racially abused QPR defender Anton Ferdinand on Sunday are being “assessed” by police in Britain after a complaint from a member of the public, Scotland Yard said today.

Terry has categorically denied making an alleged racist slur towards Ferdinand during the Blues’ 1-0 Barclays Premier League defeat at Loftus Road.
