FIFA back UEFA in Sion row

The decision to replace Swiss club Sion with Celtic in the Europa League was today given the backing of FIFA’s powerful executive committee.

A statement after a meeting of the committee in Zurich today reaffirmed FIFA’s support for UEFA in excluding Sion, and urging all clubs and football associations to abide by the decisions of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
