UCD continue good form

UCD continued where the left off from Monday night's win over Bohemians to trounce depleted Dundalk at the UCD Bowl.

Central defender David O'Connor deservedly headed College in front from Dean Marshall's corner on 35 minutes.

Four minutes later a brilliantly contrived goal doubled the lead. Right-back Hugh Douglas overlapped onto Marshall's pass and his cross was controlled and drilled to the net by impressive midfielder Paul O'Conor.

Dundalk did enjoy a decent spell early in the second half, but UCD regained the initiative to finish strongly, added their third goal on 77 minutes.

Dean Clarke, on his debut, crossed low from the right for fellow substitute Chris Lyons to slide the ball home from close range.
