St. Patrick's Athletic's title aspirations suffered a damaging blow as a below par display saw them scrape a point at Dalymount Park.

Bohs were the better side for good period, particularly in the first half, as they showed a marked improvement in their performance from Monday's 2-0 defeat at UCD.

Pat Fenlon's Gypies looked like the side going for the league in the first 45 minutes with Anto Flood having a goal disallowed after central defender Liam Burns had earlier had a shot tipped onto the bar by Saints' keeper Gary Rogers.

St. Pat's improved in the second half as they got on top. Sean O'Connor brought a good stop from Bohs' keeper Barry Murphy while Ger O'Brien made a brave block from O'Connor's goal bound shot late on.
