St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes backed Cillian Sheridan to embark on a goalscoring run after the forward’s first strikes of the season secured a 2-0 victory over Hearts.

Sheridan ran on to instant passes from strike partner Francisco Sandaza in each half before applying composed finishes to take Saints level on 12 points with Hearts in the top six of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
