Sheridan brace helps St Johnstone to win over Hearts
St Johnstone 2 Hearts 0
Cillian Sheridan netted his first goals of the season to earn St Johnstone an opening Clydesdale Bank Premier League home win of the campaign against Hearts.
The Republic of Ireland player scored in each half to move St Johnstone level on 12 points with Hearts in the top six, with both teams sharing identical goal difference records.
Sheridan twice latched on to passes from striker partner Francisco Sandaza to breach a one-dimensional Hearts defence and leave Paulo Sergio’s men without an away win this season.
