Dundalk and Bohs must replay next Tuesday for what will be the third match between them in nine days, after neither could find a way to goal at Oriel Park.

Bohs were the better side in the first half, creating its two best openings shortly before the interval.

First Ger O’Brien got on the end of a deep cross only to fire into the side-netting.

Striker Aiden Downes then brought a superb save from Peter Cherrie with a header after Stephen Hurley laid off Killian Brennan’s free-kick into the area.

Dundalk came closest to breaking the deadlock on 72 minute when their topscorer Mark Quigley shot over the bar after good approach play by Mark Griffin.
