Tonight’s clash is a dress-rehearsal of the FAI Ford Cup quarter-final between the sides scheduled for Oriel Park on Friday.

Ger O'Brien returns to the Bohs side after serving a suspension, however goalkeeper Barry Murphy and defender Ollie Cahill are set to miss out through injury.

Dundalk will be looking to get back to winning ways having drawn six of their last eight Premier Division fixtures.

Midfielder Greg Bolger returns from suspension but long-term injury victims Eoghan Osborne (fractured tibia), Stephen McDonnell (knee), Stephen Maher (fractured metatarsal), Paul Murphy (back) and Chris Kerr (torn hamstring) remain out.

Keith Ward is will not travel to Dublin as he is ruled out through suspension.

Colin Hawkins is a doubt as he is struggling with a knee injury, while Ross Gaynor is another doubt as he recovers from an ankle injury.
