Jelavic missing for Rangers

Nikica Jelavic has been ruled out of Rangers‘ Clydesdale Bank Premier League game at Dundee United with a knee injury picked up while away with the Croatian national team.

Dorin Goian, Sasa Papac and Steven Naismith are also struggling with knocks following international duty but have a chance of making the trip to Tannadice, while Lee Wallace (hamstring), Kyle Bartley (hernia) and David Weir (hamstring) remain on the sidelines.

Lee McCulloch (knee) and Kyle Lafferty (calf) have both trained and could be in contention and new signing Matt McKay could make his debut.

Provisional squad: McGregor, Bocanegra, Goian, Whittaker, Perry, Davis, Naismith, Edu, Wylde, Lafferty, Bedoya, Ortiz, Kerkar, Fleck, Healy, Alexander, Papac, McKay.
