St Patrick's Athletic will be looking to stay in touch at the top of the table when they take on struggling Galway United at Richmond Park this evening, kick-off 7.30pm.

Saints are currently sitting in fourth place, six points off the leaders and they will be looking to take advantage of Galway’s poor form.

St Pat’s will be buoyed by last weekend’s impressive Cup result knocking out Waterford United at the RSC.

Sean O'Connor, Shane Guthrie and John O'Connor should all return to Pete Mahon’s squad as they were all missing last week, being cup-tied.

Derek Doyle (calf), Danny North (ribs) and David McMillan (hamstring) are all doubts as they look to get back to full fitness.

Galway were another team who had a free week last week as they were not involved in Cup action.

And the break should have suited manager Sean Connor who will have had plenty of time to work with his side as they look to earn their first point since the very early stages of the league campaign.

And Connor will at least be seeing signs of improvement as his side scored twice against Shamrock Rovers in their last league game and were unlucky to go down 3-2 on the night.

Sean Kelly and Johnny Keane remain out for Galway as they are both struggling with knee injuries.

Laurence Gaughan should return to the squad after missing the Rovers game through suspension.

Ronan Caldwell should also be available after missing the last game through work commitments, while new signing John Egan should be included in the squad.
