Colombian defender leaves Inter

Inter Milan have released Colombian defender Nelson Rivas, the club confirmed today.

The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Ukrainian side Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Rivas joined the Nerazzurri from River Plate in July 2007 and made a total of 28 appearances for Inter.

The South American had one year left on his contract but was not part of coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s plans.
