Peter Houston has revealed keeper Iain Turner’s elbow injury will be assessed this afternoon ahead of Scotland’s crucial Euro 2012 qualifier against Czech Republic at Hampden on Saturday.

Captain Darren Fletcher has returned to Craig Levein’s squad after a virus kept him out of the five international games this year and Rangers striker Steven Naismith has recovered from a hip injury, leaving the Preston keeper as the only doubt.

The Scotland assistant said: “Everybody who has been brought in to the squad by Craig is still here.

“There is a slight doubt about Iain Turner who hurt his elbow in training the other day so we are looking at that and assessing it today.

“We still have another two goalkeepers in the squad.

“I don’t know if Craig will bring another keeper in if Iain has to go back to his club.

“But the spirit in the squad is brilliant. It tells you that (about the spirit) when there is no call-offs, and we are looking forward to Saturday.”
