Bohemians given tough challenge by Longford

A stunning strike from Killian Brennan put the gloss on Bohemians’ passage through to the quarter-finals of the FAI Ford Cup as they came from behind to beat First Division Longford at Flancare Park this evening.

Midfielder Craig Walsh gave Longford a 13th-minute lead when finishing off a terrific cross from Cathal Brady.

Bohs hit back to level on 34 minutes through striker Aidan Downes.

An unfortunate own goal from Town defender Chris Deans then gifted Bohemians the lead seven minutes into the second half.

Winger Brennan then sealed Bohs' win with a stunning strike from distance on 81 minutes.
