Quigley brace rescues point for Dundalk
Dundalk 2 Bray Wanderers 2
Mark Quigley scored twice as Dundalk had to settle for a share of the spoils in a thrilling game at Oriel Park tonight.
Dundalk, who hammered Bray 5-1 at the Carlisle Grounds back in June, took the lead on 14 minutes from a peantly converted by Quigley after strike partner Marc Griffin had been pushed to the ground by Bray defender Derek Prendergast.
But Bray stormed back into the game and were level in stoppage time at the end of the first half. Midfielder Danny O'Connor got on the end of a superb Chris Shields cross to steer the ball past Peter Cherrie.
Bray then hit the front seven minutes into the second half. Jake Kelly put over a terrific ball from the right and Dean Zambra finished from close in.
But Dundalk equalised almost straight from the kick-off. Skipper Simon Madden put the ball into the visitors' box and Quigley lobbed keeper Darren Quigley.
Quigley then denied Dundalk a winner, and his namesake his hat-trick, with a superb save 15 minutes from time.
