Raul rejects Blackburn

Schalke last night confirmed they had rejected an official approach from Blackburn for Raul because the former Spain striker wants to stay with the German club.

The 34-year-old, who arrived in Gelsenkirchen last summer from Real Madrid, was the subject of an inquiry from Rovers but that was swiftly dealt with by the Bundesliga outfit.
