Juarez joins Zaragoza on loan

Celtic have announced that Mexico international Efrain Juarez has joined Real Zaragoza on a season-long loan.

The versatile player struggled for a regular first-team place at Parkhead last season, making 11 starts and nine appearances off the bench.

The 22-year-old, who joined Celtic after appearing in the World Cup, had vowed to pin down a place in Neil Lennon’s team after helping his country win the Gold Cup this summer.

But he has been snapped up by Mexican coach Javier Aguirre, who led Zaragoza to 13th place in La Liga last season.
