Porto snap up Sandro

Porto have signed Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro on a five-year contract from Santos, the Portuguese champions have announced.

The 20-year-old Sandro, who is currently on international duty with Brazil preparing for the upcoming Under-20 World Cup, is the second player to move from Copa Libertadores winners Santos to Porto this summer after Danilo Luiz da Silva.

Porto said in a statement on their website: “Alex Sandro has a (contract) release clause of €50m, with Porto agreeing to pay 9.6million euros for all the economic rights of the player.”
