Holland playmaker Wesley Sneijder wants to remain at Inter Milan, according to coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

Holland playmaker Wesley Sneijder wants to remain at Inter Milan, according to coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the San Siro this summer, with Manchester United and Primera Division side Malaga among the clubs reportedly leading the race to acquire his services.

Speaking from Inter’s training camp in Pinzolo in the Val Rendena valley, Gasperini said: “Sneijder is a great player, a top player. His approach has been more than positive.

“He is here (at Pinzolo) and he wants to remain with us.”

The former Real Madrid midfielder is valued at £35m and is under contract with Inter until June 2015.
