Sligo Rovers can go top of the table with victory over Drogheda United at The Showgrounds tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.
Iarfhlaith Davoren returns to the Rovers squad after a quick recovery from injury and as a result Sligo have a fully fit squad with no other injury or suspension concerns.
Sligo boss Paul Cook said: “Iarfhlaith is back this week which is great news. He trained fully for the first time on Thursday morning so he is in contention for this weekend.
“It could be a difficult game because they will get men behind the ball and put pressure on us. We know that we have to do the right things, keep the ball and stay patient and try to work out the result.”
Tiernan Mulvenna and Jack Flynn are both ruled out for Drogheda, while manager Mick Cooke is currently awaiting news on three possible transfers to go through and he hopes to include them in the squad for Sligo.
Cooke said: “I’ve always said that Sligo would be the main challenge to Shamrock Rovers and this is something I still believe.
“They are by far the best footballing side in the league, so we know what we are up against when we go there.
“Of course we will still be going up their with the mindset to get something from the game. We weren't too disgraceful the last time we were there and we looked to be in the game until they got their second goal.
“So if we can just keep positive who knows what might happen.”
