Sligo target second spot in clash with Bray Wanderers

Sligo Rovers can move into second place in the table with a win over Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Bit o’ Red will be without Iarfhlaith Davoren as he is struggling to overcome a leg injury that is likely to keep him out for a further few weeks.

Otherwise, Rovers boss Paul Cook will have a fully fit squad to choose from.

Cook said: "We're on a good run of form at the minute. It showed great character last Monday against Shelbourne in that we didn't play well for a lot of the game but finished strongly to get the win.

"I was delighted to get through because we want to compete for every trophy and it keeps our momentum going for the trip to the Carlisle Grounds.

"Bray will be disappointed with their result the other night and conceding five goals but I know Pat Devlin will be keen to address that and we're certainty in for a tough game as you always are in Bray."

Adam Mitchell returns to the Bray squad having served his suspension on Tuesday night for his sending off at Richmond Park last Friday.

However, Bray boss Pat Devlin will have to plan without the Joe Kendrck who is suspended for tonight’s clash.

Darren Quigley (elbow), Stephen Brennan (calf), Gary Shaw (foot) and Jake Kelly (hamstring) all remain out injured for Wanderers.

Looking to put their disappointing defeat to Dundalk behind them, Devlin said: “We are really looking forward to it. Hopefully, we will see a better performance, the lads have been fantastic all season and they will be determined to bounce straight back.”
