Drogheda free of injury worries for bottom-of-the-table clash
Drogheda United will be hoping to close the gap on UCD at the bottom of the table when they take on the Students at Hunky Dorys Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.
United boss Mick Cooke has no injury or suspension worries ahead of the game.
And Cooke is confident of taking all three points in tonight’s clash with Martin Russell’s College side.
The Drogheda boss said: “The lads got a rousing reception after the Pat’s game. We didn’t deserve to lose so heavily, but that didn't really reflect the effort on the pitch.
“As it stands, we are ahead of Galway and of course we are looking to catch UCD and go ahead of them.
“We will be confident of beating them despite failing to do so before on a number of occasions. The confidence is there now. We just have to show it on the pitch.”
UCD must plan without Robbie Creevy who is struggling with a quad muscle injury.
Ger Bannon will sit the game out as he also has leg muscle concerns.
Victory for United would close the gap on tonight’s opponents to three points, however UCD will push nine points clear with an away win.
