Blackburn striker Jason Roberts has rubbished reports linking him with a move to npower Championship side Ipswich.

It has been claimed that the 33-year-old is poised to rejoin his former Wigan manager Paul Jewell at Portman Road.

But Roberts insists he has not been in contact with Ipswich and is keen to see out the final year of his contract at Ewood Park.

Roberts wrote on his Twitter account: “Woken up to more Ipswich Tweets and rumours. I can confirm that I have not spoken to anyone from Ipswich or Blackburn about this!

“You are never quite sure where these rumours come from, but I am happy at Blackburn and I am looking forward to next season already!”

Roberts scored twice in the final three games as Blackburn avoided relegation from the Barclays Premier League last season.
