Newcastle hit impasse over Enrique deal

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has admitted the club is struggling to persuade Jose Enrique to sign a new deal.

The Magpies signalled their intention to make the 25-year-old Spaniard a “fantastic” contract offer to keep him at St James’ Park with his existing terms due to expire at the end of next season.
