SFA fines Hearts over poor discipline

Hearts have been hit with a record £100,000 fine by the Scottish Football Association for their disciplinary record last season.

The Clydesdale Bank Premier League club will have to pay £60,000 immediately with the remaining balance payable over two instalments if their record does not improve next term.

Hearts have now been sanctioned for their disciplinary statistics for seven consecutive seasons and were fined £60,000 a year ago, which was then a record.
