Sligo and Pike Rovers to meet tonight
Sligo Rovers entertain non-league side Pike Rovers in tonight’s FAI Ford Cup third round clash at The Showgrounds, kick-off 7.45pm.
Rovers will be without Joesph Ndo as the Cameroon international has a calf injury and will miss out as Paul Cook’s side open the defence of the trophy they won at the Aviva Stadium last November.
The Bit o' Red have no other injury or suspension worries.
Rovers manager Cook said: “We respect every team we play and that will be the case on Friday. Any team that wins honours, like Pike Rovers have done, are a good side.
“They won the FAI Junior Cup recently and that shows they are a successful team.
“We had a good win against Dundalk the other night, we fought hard and got the right result and we’ll aim to do that again against Pike Rovers.”
