Saints enjoy rare Dalymount win

Bohemians 0 St. Patrick's Athletic 1

Daryl Kavanagh scored a late winner as St. Patrick's enjoyed a rare win at Dalymount to leapfrog Bohemians into fourth place in the table.

Bohs edged the first half, but Saints were better in the second and got the game's only goal on 76 minutes.

Kavanagh latched onto keeper Gary Rogers' long clearance before cutting back inside and rifling home a low drive past Chris O'Connor into the keeper's bottom left corner.

Minutes later Bohs were incensed when not being awarded a penalty after skipper Owen Heary was taken down in the box by Neil Harney.

Kavanagh might then have doubled Saints' winning margin in stoppage time but O'Connor saved well with his feet.
