Seven due in court in connection with firearms find at Celtic training ground
Seven people will appear in court today after they were arrested in connection with an alleged firearms incident outside Celtic’s training ground.
Armed police were sent to the scene near the club’s Lennoxtown training ground in East Dunbartonshire on Sunday, but there were no reports of shots fired.
The seven, including four 21-year-old women, a 19-year-old woman and two men aged 17 and 19, were arrested after the alleged incident.
They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court later today.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: “Around 8.30pm on Sunday, seven people were arrested and are presently detained in police custody in connection with an alleged firearms offence at a football training ground in Glen Road, Kirkintilloch.”
