Shay Given got some much-needed match practice tonight as Manchester City’s elite development squad ended their season with a 4-0 drubbing of Chelsea at Hyde.

The Republic of Ireland international completed the full 90 minutes as he steps up his recovery from shoulder surgery.

John Guidetti, Abdi Ibrahim, Harry Bunn and James Poole scored the goals that confirmed City as runners-up to Manchester United in the Barclays Reserve League North.
