Sligo ease into semis

Portadown 0 Sligo Rovers 2 (Sligo won 5-0 on aggregate)

Goals in either half from Daryl Horgan and Joseph Ndo eased Sligo into a semi-final Setanta Sports Cup clash with rivals Shamrock Rovers.

Sligo, 3-0 up from the first leg at the Showgrounds, started well and deserved their lead goal on 42 minutes which effectively sealed their passage through to the last four as Horgan beat David Miskelly for the opener.

Former Cameroon international Ndo, on as a substitute, then got his season well and truly up and running with Sligo’s second goal on 72 minutes when shooting home from 20 yards.
