Capital showdown fails to take off

Barry Murphy saved a last minute penalty as Pat Fenlon, on possibly his last game in charge, saw Bohemians take a point at Richmond Park in a disappointing Dublin derby.

Bohs defender Ger O'Brien pulled down Shane McFaul inside the area with the watch on 90 minutes. But Murphy, despite having been injured earlier, dived the right way to save Paul Crowley's poor spot kick.

Murphy had been on his game in the first half with the stop of the 45 minutes to deprive Derek Doyle.

Both sides - David McMillan for St. Pat's and Bohs' Stephen Traynor - had chances in the second half before Murphy's late heroics earned troubled Bohs a point.
