Mulcahy marks century in style

St. Patrick's Athletic 3 Dundalk 2

Dave Mulcahy capped his 100th appearance for the club with a dramatic late winner as St. Pat's came from 2-0 down in a thrilling match at Richmond Park.

Mark Quigley appeared to have Dundalk in control with two stunning strikes on 17 and 50 minutes.

The first came when Jason Byrne laid off Daniel Kerans' cross for Quigley to shoot first time past Gary Rogers.

Quigley doubled the lead five minutes into the second half with a stunning bicycle kick from skipper Simon Madden's cross.

But David McMillan got Saints back into the match nine minutes later when drilling home substitute Paul Crowley's pass.

Older brother Evan McMillan then levelled the scores three minutes later with a head after Dundalk failed to clear Stephen Bradley's corner.

Mulcahy then won it for Saints on 89 minutes when forcing the ball home at the back post after Dundalk again failed to deal with another Bradley corner.
