The Stormont Executive in the North has announced a major funding boost for sporting facilities.

The £140m (€162m) fund will be divided among soccer, GAA and Rugby clubs.

The IFA will get £25m (€29m) to upgrade Windsor Park plus £36m (€41.7m) to improve some other stadia and set up a new national training centre.

The Ulster Council of the GAA will get the same total to turn Casement Park into a 40,000 all-seated stadium, while Ulster Rugby and Ravenhill is getting just under £15m (€17.4m).
