Lisburn Distillery 2 UCD 0 (Lisburn Distillery win 2-0 on aggregate)

UCD’s interest in the Setanta Sports Cup ended as two hotly disputed goals at the New Grosvenor Stadium put Lisburn Distillery through to the quarter-finals.

Yael Haro tangled with Stuart Thompson inside the area to concede a debatable 18th minute penalty which Gary Browne rifled past Ger Barron.

Lisburn sealed their win on 86 minutes with UCD again unhappy with the goal.

Barron picked up a back pass from Ciaran Nangle as he felt it touched a Lisburn player. But a free kick was given and David Cushley’s delivery wasn’t cleared, allowing Scott Davidson to fire home via a deflection.
