Dundee United-Celtic match to go ahead

Tannadice has passed an early-morning pitch inspection ahead of today’s Clydesdale Bank Premier League match between Dundee United and Celtic.

United requested an inspection for 8.15am following what they called “continuing adverse conditions and overnight rain”.

But referee Mike Tumilty has declared the surface playable.

A statement on United’s official website added: “The referee will continue to monitor the situation as conditions change.”
