Juve snap up Matri
Juventus have confirmed the loan signing of Cagliari striker Alessandro Matri until the end of the current season.
The Bianconeri have paid €2.5m for the six-month deal which gives them the option of signing the 26-year-old for a fee of €15.5m, to be paid over three years, in the summer.
The deal sees youngster Lorenzo Ariaudo head in the opposite direction.
Matri will provide cover for a Juve forward line that has been hit hard by injuries, with Fabio Quagliarella out for the rest of the season and Luca Toni also currently sidelined.
Juventus confirmed the deal on their website in a statement reading: “Juventus Football Club announces that the agreements have been finalised with Cagliari for the temporary acquisition of the registration rights of the player Alessandro Matri.”
