Ancelotti hoping big guns will fire against Rovers

Chelsea recalled all their big guns as Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, Michael Essien and Ashley Cole returned for today’s Premier League game against Blackburn.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti resisted the urge to gamble on youth as the Blues looked to end their worst run of results in the league for almost 15 years.

Roque Santa Cruz was only on the bench for Blackburn following yesterday’s loan move from Manchester City, but Paul Robinson, Martin Olsson, Christopher Samba and Nikola Kalinic returned from injury, illness and suspension, and David Dunn was back after being rested last weekend.
