Aston Villa are close to sealing a £6.5m deal to sign Lyon midfielder Jean Makoun.

Aston Villa are close to sealing a £6.5m deal to sign Lyon midfielder Jean Makoun.

Villa manager Gerard Houllier flew to his native France to hold talks with his former club yesterday over Makoun.
