Jones set for surgery

Blackburn defender Phil Jones will undergo surgery to repair torn cartilage in his right knee this afternoon, the club have confirmed.

Jones came on as a substitute during Rovers’ 1-1 draw with West Ham at Ewood Park on Saturday but lasted only 10 minutes before hobbling off after falling awkwardly in a challenge with Carlton Cole.
