St Johnstone’s Clydesdale Bank Premier League match against Hearts will go ahead as planned after the McDiarmid Park pitch passed an inspection.

A 9.30am check was arranged after an already heavy pitch took on more water during a week of persistent rainfall.

But referee Mike Tumilty passed the pitch fit for the 3pm kick-off.
