Newcastle consult lawyers over newspaper claims

Newcastle United tonight responded to allegations in the News of the World that cocaine was used by girls at captain Kevin Nolan’s house while he and striker Andy Carroll were at the property.

There has been no suggestion the players used the drug and Newcastle insisted neither player was aware of it being used at the property in Northumberland.
