Notts County sack Short

Craig Short has been sacked as manager of Notts County less than five months after taking charge at Meadow Lane.

The 42-year-old former Magpies defender only took the reins at the start of June but has paid the price for a less than convincing start to his tenure at the ambitious club, who are currently 16th in npower League One following yesterday‘s 2-1 defeat at Colchester.

Short has been relieved of his duties along with assistant Dave Kevan.
