Defensive headache for Saints boss
St Patrick's Athletic entertain Bray Wanderers in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Richmond Park tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).
Saints manager Pete Mahon, will be forced to make defensive changes ahead of their final home league match of the 2010 season as both Damian Lynch and Ian Bermingham will miss the game due to suspension.
Midfielders Ryan Guy, Dave Mulcahy and David McAllister are all recovering from knocks sustained in Tuesday night’s Cup defeat to Shamrock Rovers.
St Pat’s boss Mahon said: “Bray are a team in form and they have had a nice little rest while we have played two very testing games.
“We can expect a very tough game so we still have to be very positive and realise the prize that Europe might offer us if we can achieve wins in our next two games.
“I hope Tuesday night is not seen as an anti-climax in terms of our season and I hope the supporters come out in force again to support the team.”
Bray are without several key players for the trio to Inchicore as Jake Kelly and John Mulroy are ruled out with hamstring problems.
Derek Prendergast is out with an ankle injury and Sean Houston will also be absent with a knee ligament problem.
Dane Massey and Shane O'Connor are both ruled out through suspension, while there are doubts about Danny O' Connor (thigh) and keeper Brian Kane (ankle).
Director of Football at Bray Pat Devlin said: "It will be tough. We have to go out and try to get a win. It won't be easy as St Pat’s are a very good side.”
