Byrne fit for Bohs as they continue drive for double

Bohemians maintain their push for a domestic double when they take on Sligo Rovers in the FAI Ford Cup semi-finals at Dalymount Park, kick-off 8.05pm.

Striker Jason Byrne is fit for selection despite taking knocks in recent games and going off early against St Patrick’s Athletic last weekend.

Owen Heary (hamstring) is recovering but may not return until next week’s league match against Galway.

Jason McGuinness (hamstring) remains out, while long-term injuries Anto Murphy and Steven Gray (both Achilles) are recovering from operations.

Bohemians manager Pat Fenlon said: “Every match we have played in the last three or four weeks has been like a cup final. So, we’re in that mode, which is a good thing. But there’s a big prize at the end of it.

“They lost the final last year and they’d like to get back and rectify that, I’m sure. But we’d love to get there as well. Having the final in the Aviva has given it added spice. We were in the final a couple of years ago and we’d love to get back there.”

Sligo have no new injury worries for the trip to Dalymount Park.

John Russell returns from suspension and Romauld Boco has returned from international duty with Benin.

Mauro Almeida and Richard Brush remain out for the rest of the season.
