Extra-time goal grabs point for Bray

Bray Wanderers 2 UCD 2

Daire Doyle scored twice, the second a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser, as Bray came from 2-0 down to earn an unlikely point against the Students at the Carlisle Grounds tonight.

David McMillan headed UCD in front on the half hour after Bray keeper Matt Gregg could only parry his first effort.

McMillan then struck again on 53 minutes with a close-range finish following terrific approach play by Ciaran Kilduff and Chris Mulhall.

Doyle began Bray’s revival eight minutes later. Skipper Danny O’Connor flicked on Dave Webster’s throw and Doyle headed past Billy Brennan.

A stunning strike then earned Bray their point in the first minute of stoppage time.

A headed clearance from Michael Leahy dropped to Doyle some 30 yards out and his shot flew into the top corner of the net.
