Former Pool boss Houllier takes Villa reins

Aston Villa have confirmed the appointment of Gerard Houllier as their new manager.

Houllier will succeed Martin O’Neill and has returned to the Barclays Premier League after a six-year absence since ending his reign at Liverpool.
