Moratti disappointed in 'pessimistic' Inter fans

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is surprised by the “pessimism” of a section of his club fans.

With city rivals AC Milan acquiring the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robinho among their summer signings, the Nerazzurri supporters were disappointed with their club’s low-key transfer dealings.

“We decided that to buy just for the sake of it was not worth it,” said Moratti in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

“We don’t have an old team.

“We have won everything not 10 years ago but two months ago.

“I don’t understand the pessimism of some people.

“Of course, if in January we need to intervene in the market, we will do it without a problem.”

Last season’s treble winning-team brought in youngsters Felipe Coutinho and Jonathan Biabiany as the only signings but did not make any significant additions to the squad.
